WWF in their last report In the Coral Triangle published numbers and case studies about Marine Plastic Pollution and its sources in the Coral Triangle.
There have been several examples of pilot projects and studies to better understand ADLFG. Our Marine Litter and Fishing gear procedure and audit tool was selected to be a case study to share how the private industry – our Fishing Industry Association of Papua New Guinea, set up a due diligence process to mitigate this type of Marine Pollution.
We are proud to be part of this regional report and a good example of good practices based on the Global Ghost Gear Initiative and the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation
